This summer Excision and Illenium merged their creative forces to bring their newest collaborative release “Gold” (Stupid Love). Their distinctive yet complimentary styles formed to produce a monumental single for festival season.
“Gold” is an immense track featuring the soulful intensity of Illenium with the abrasive magnitude of Excision beneath Shallows’ haunting vocals, all fusing into one immeasurable release. It premiered in May at EDC 2018 during Excision’s first set of the weekend, where he invited Illenium on stage to play the song together during the set’s explosive finale.
Since EDC, “Gold” has been playing across the festival circuit, and was released on July 17, 2018 across all platforms.
